The Workroom is a makerspace dedicated to nurturing creativity and curiosity in the kids and families of East Nashville.

Our vision is to offer a space to work, to tinker, to dream, and to learn. We will offer physical work space, as well as tools and instruction.

We are proud to be a part of and to serve the East Nashville community.

Maker Project Sheets

What We Offer

We're passionate about providing an opportunity for creativity and curiosity.

We offer maker workshops ranging from Art + Science for kids to beginning Arduino to beginning sewing to learning web development.

Maker Tools

We're your garage away from home. Need a space to spread out and get to work? Missing a particular tool? We want to be your space to get creating.

We provide digital and local maker resources - everything from project sheets and instructions to local connections for supplies.

We receive an educator discount when ordering from the following resources, and we are excited to extend that benefit to our members.

littleBits is the easiest and most extensive way to learn and prototype with electronics. We are making hardware limitless with our award-winning, ever-growing library of electronic modules, ranging from the very simple (power, sensors, LED) to the very complex (wireless, programmable). Join the hardware renaissance and make something that does something!

AdaFruit is a fantastic maker resource.
