Nashville Mini Maker Faire 2014 Recap

We had so much fun at the Nashville Mini Maker Faire this past weekend! I came prepared for about 30 kids to visit our booth, but I ran out of Mini Maker Kits in the first two hours. I was and am still completely blown away by the support we’re seeing for a family-centered makerspace in our community.

We learned so much and had fun talking with other parents and members of the community about our vision for The Workroom and what we can make it, together.

We also had a lot of fun demo-ing littleBits, but our conductive playdough table got a little crazy…

Ordering littleBits

Many of you asked if we sell littleBits. We don’t, but the good news is that we benefit from an educator discount. I’m happy to open up an order for those who are interested. Send me a message here with the modules or kits you are interested in ordering, and we can set something up.

Upcoming Workshops

I am also thrilled to announce that we’ve confirmed dates for our October workshops. We will be at the East Park Community Center on October 11 and October 25, both from 10:00 am until noon. For more details on these events, check out the Events calendar.

Thank you so much for coming out to Mini Maker Faire and for the big show of support! Can’t wait to see you again soon!
